Welcome to my Travel Adventures!

Hi! My name is Tom, and I live in close proximity to the popular tourist destination of Destin in the Florida Panhandle with my wife Diane. We have recently graduated to empty-nesters and decided to start traveling to Europe. We’ve had a lot of fun, but despite the research we’ve still learned a few lessons. I’m hoping that by sharing the knowledge and experience gained from these adventures that I can save you some of the suffering so that you can go straight to the enjoying.

This information is shared from the perspective of an over 50, English-speaking couple whose primary focus for travel is sight-seeing and experiencing the local culture. We’re in good health and, now that the kids are out of college, we have a little bit of money to be somewhat selective on where we spend the night (no youth hostels). I’ve always liked planning vacations, and tackling a two week adventure to a location in Europe can be one of the most rewarding efforts of a lifetime.
